Joe, what inspired you to study animal management at BCoT?
“I’ve always wanted to be a zookeeper so this was the most logical course for me to do. I loved the facilities at BCoT and the practical way they teach the course. It was also the only college around that offered a whole day’s practical work experience each week which I thought was great.
How have you settled into college life?
“When I first came to BCoT I didn’t know many people, but Summer Starter really helped me meet new friends and experience college life before I started my course here.
The staff here treat you how you want to be treated; they talk to you like an adult.”
What would you like to do when you leave BCoT?
“When I finish at BCoT I am hoping to become a trainee zookeeper at Marwell Zoo. I researched this role when I visited the Zoo on a college trip and feel positive that this is the career path I want to follow.”
