As part of your course you will cover a variety of subjects, such as marketing, law and finance. Our Fashion Retail courses combine both business skills and the creative skills required to present products effectively. You will have the chance to take part in Young Enterprise Club, and visits are organised to places like the Bank of England and the Business Start-Up exhibition at Olympia. We also organise guest speakers from a range of industries to share their experiences and we encourage you to take up work experience placements with local businesses.

Jack joined BCoT to do a Level 3 BTEC in Business & Enterprise, he has now progressed to a Level 4 course.
“BCoT has given me so many great opportunities since I started here. I loved my course; the tutors helped create a nice environment and I knew I wanted to stay here to further my education.”
For his work experience placement he spent six weeks at Merit Recruitment. Although the office environment was new to him, Jack said he soon got used to it and quickly felt part of the team.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first started. It was great though, as I was given responsibilities from the beginning so wanted to prove that I could do the job and do it well."
Merit went on to offer Jack a permanent part time job which he took whilst he was on the HE course.
“It was brilliant when Merit offered me a job at the end of the placement! Apparently I exceeded all their expectations, so this was a great compliment and a real boost to my confidence.”
