You will get the chance to learn in our amazing training Nursery and experience first class childcare in practice. We also have dedicated classrooms stocked with a wide range of resources used in working with children.
There will be an opportunity to work in local schools, nurseries and special needs settings. We usually organise a French exchange trip with the college in Alençon in France. We invite guest speakers including representatives from Camp America, Family Support Workers and Child Protection Officers from local authorities, Play Specialists and Nursery Managers.

BCoT student, Emily Evans, is celebrating a successful application to Norland College, the prestigious establishment dedicated to 'providing the very best Early Years education and training'.
17 year old Emily, from Highclere, joined BCoT straight from school onto the Level 3 Childcare course.
Emily thoroughly enjoyed the course and decided Early Years Education is where she wants to make her career. Applying to Norland College - known for its exclusivity - seemed like a ‘long shot’ but, with BCoT’s help through the UCAS application, Emily was invited for an interview. As part of that process, she also had to give a presentation, travelling to the Norland’s historic site in Bath for the day.
Her trip was successful; Emily has accepted her offer to start in September 2016.
Meanwhile, Emily is getting ready for this next chapter of her life to begin.
As you can see from the photo, she has already got her uniform sorted!
