Former Level 3 Travel & Tourism student Lauren Maycock returned to BCoT to tell current students all about her role as a member of the prestigious British Airways Cabin Crew.
She loves her job with the airline and explained that becoming a member of the BA Cabin Crew is no easy feat.
“The assessment and interview stage was really tough. It is designed to test how you work in a team as well as your customer service and problem-solving skills. Throughout the day there are people making notes on everything you say or do to ensure that you are right for the job.”
Having successfully completed the rigorous assessment process, Lauren was pleased to come back and tell current students all about it, giving them advice on how best to prepare for an interview in industry and talking about the importance of research and teamwork.
She spoke about some of the amazing places she has visited around the world such as Miami, Nairobi, Johannesburg and many more. Lauren was also keen to stress how worthwhile and rewarding the experience was, and how her hard work during College helped her get to where she is.
“BCoT offer a technical course with industry-experienced lecturers; their knowledge gave me the best opportunity to progress with what I wanted to do.”
