Basingstoke is an ideal town for someone new to the UK. It is a medium sized town set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only 60 kilometres from the centre of London. It is modern and spacious with plenty of parks and open spaces. There is a large shopping centre called Festival Place which is near the railway station - BCoT is only a 10 minutes walk from here.
Basingstoke has excellent sporting facilities as well as a concert hall, theatres, cinemas, bowlplex, indoor sky diving and many restaurants. It is a central location for visiting famous cities including Oxford, London, Bath, Winchester and York.
