Working as a counsellor with EAP's
This workshop is for trainees and qualified counsellors who are intending to work within an occupational environment.
Donatella Maschio is a psychotherapist, counsellor, supervisor and family practitioner working in private practice and within organisations. Donatella trained at the University of Surrey where she gained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy with a Means to Health. She continued her interest in couples, families, groups and organisations and trained as a Systemic Family Practitioner at the Tavistock Portman NHS Trust. She has taught and managed Counselling courses and has worked therapeutically in various organisational settings both from the public and private sector.
This workshop aims at a better understanding of the work undertaken by an Employee Assistance Programme within a professional working environment. Working as a counsellor with an EAP’s brief can be a challenging yet rewarding experience.
There will be focus on the variation of counselling boundaries and the presenting issues linked to the work environment. This is an experiential and theoretical workshop.
