Pottery for Intermediates

Course Overview

Intermediate pottery has been specifically designed for those who have completed our beginners class or have some experience working with clay. The course will encourage students to work towards their own personal projects while expanding and developing their skills in pottery. This will include the introduction of stoneware clay, allowing you make larger outdoor sculptures, the use of additional materials including glass and wire. We will also use the potter’s wheel and continue to develop on existing skills in slab building, coil and scraffito. All work will be fired and learners will be able to glaze their completed ceramics using our specialist glazes and facilities.
