Course Overview
In association with Mike Taylor Education, we are proud to present our newly designed academy of barbering qualifications. The Barbering NVQ Level 3 is a nationally recognised qualification for anyone who wants to learn advanced skills and techniques.
This is our most advanced barbering course designed to build on your existing knowledge and help to develop and enhance your barbering skills.
Course Content
Through this course you will learn how to give consultation support to other colleagues, monitor and maintain health and safety in the salon whilst developing your skills in cutting, including facial hair and colour to create a variety of looks. You will learn under the specialist direction of the Mike Taylor Barbering College – one of the country’s leading barbers.
To enhance employment opportunities the course may also have additional qualifications built into the programme.
Entry Requirement
- Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or Functional Skills English and maths.
- A relevant Level 2 qualification.
Assessment
The course is continuously assessed by both practical and written assignments/tests to demonstrate competence.
Where does this course lead to
Higher Education - study a Level 4 Diploma or Award at BCoT and progress towards salon management or a degree.
