Year 10 Taster Days

Each year we invite Year 10 pupils from local secondary schools to visit us and experience college life firsthand. This usually happens towards the end of Summer Term and is across a number of days. This is organised directly between the college and the schools and you will receive any invitations through your school's Careers Advisor or Head of Year. Teachers and Careers Advisers are welcome to contact us to set up additional sessions for their pupils.

Individual Visits

We can also book individual visits if you can't come to an open event or taster session. You'll have a tour of our campus and see our industry-standard facilities, as well as the chance to visit any particular curriculum areas you're interested in.

Advice and Guidance

When you apply online for BCoT, you'll be asked to book an appointment for an interview with a course tutor. These take place regularly throughout the year on Wednesday evenings. Your Advice and Guidance meeting gives you and your parents a chance to chat about the course requirements and for the tutor to confirm that you're able to do the course. The tutor will either offer a place or recommend a different course.
