This course covers a wide range of business related areas. Business affects nearly every part of our daily lives and all business organisations demand well qualified, versatile and adaptable employees with high level skills and knowledge, plus sound business acumen.

This qualification gives you the opportunity to develop skills, techniques and personal qualities essential for performance in working life and the business world. You learn by completing assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and included in the course are a number of visits to organisations such as Cadburys and the Bank of England.

You should have 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths

The course is continuously assessed through assignments, projects, portfolio building and case studies. You will develop a responsible and co-operative approach to working on your own and in groups. The course uses practical activities, presentations and involvement with local businesses wherever possible.

This course is a recognised route onto an Extended Diploma (Level 3) course; you should aim for a merit or distinction grade to ensure progression.
