This apprenticeship recognises the rapid growth of Social Media as a business tool and has been developed to support learners wishing to enter and progress in this new environment. It further develops the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in a range roles that use social media; learners could follow the marketing or generic business pathway.

Focusing on a range of skills including principles of social media within a business, using collaborative technologies, social networking management for a business and principles of keywords and optimisation, the apprenticeship is delivered within the workplace using real examples from the apprentice’s daily work
