English and Maths

This course covers a wide range of subjects including:

• Intensive ESOL Skills for Life (approx 14 hours per week)
• Tutorial with personal tutor
• GCSE Maths or Science (depending on level of English)
• Numeracy and ICT lessons

Please note that this course does NOT include the materials for citizenship requirements.

Attendance of 100% is necessary in order to complete the course.

A successful placement test.

ESOL Skills for Life examinations take place throughout the year. All students will be expected to take the examinations and the tutor will recommend which exam is suitable for each student.

Students may progress to a higher level part-time ESOL Skills for Life course, or a full-time vocational programme combined with ESOL.
