Course Overview

This online course provides the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a degree in various areas of Nursing, including Adult, Children, Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nursing. This can lead to a career working in the NHS, the private sector, the community, research, or education.

The course is suitable for mature students who have been out of full-time education for at least one year and do not have the relevant qualifications for entry to higher education.

The course is delivered online, allowing you to study at your own pace. An assigned tutor will support you throughout your learning journey. All learning materials and assignments are accessible through an online portal.

Entry Requirement

  • You need to be aged 19+ from the beginning of September.
  • GCSE English and maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
If you do not have either English or maths you can complete this in addition to the Access to Higher Education course.

Assessment

This course is assessed through assignments submitted electronically for each unit.

Where does this course lead to

The course is designed to facilitate university entry and is worth 45 graded credits and 15 ungraded study skill credits.
