Course Introduction
Our Cyber Security Skills Bootcamp will be running for 16 weeks, on a Wednesday and Friday morning totalling 6 hours and 15 minutes per week and is designed for anyone who may provide first-line cyber security support, or wants a career in this sector. This requires individuals to monitor and detect potential security threats and escalate as necessary and to support secure and uninterrupted business operations of an organisation through the implementation of cyber security mechanisms and the application of cyber security procedures and controls.

To enrol you must be age 19+, you can be in work, unemployed, self-employed or returning to work after a career break. You should be a UK resident for at least 3 consecutive years and have the right to work in the UK.
How much does a Skills Bootcamp Cost?
There may be no cost involved if you are unemployed or employed and looking for a career change. If you are currently employed and will be upskilling your current role/responsibilities your current employer will be asked to contribute between 10-30% of the cost of the Bootcamp, depending on the size of the company you work for.

There is no specific prior knowledge a learner must have for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 2 Digital Skills or Information Technology qualification.
Appropriate vocational competence is also supportive of your application.
A short discussion will also be required (in-person or over the telephone) to ensure this Skills Bootcamp is suitable for your needs.
Project-based assessment.
This allows individuals to consolidate their knowledge of Cyber Security and learn practical skills which can be used to seek work or increase responsibilities within a current role.
