This HNC is a university-level qualification delivered in partnership with the University of Portsmouth at BCoT. it is designed for people currently employed within the sector wishing to progress and enhance their career prospects.
The HNC provides the opportunity to upgrade knowledge and skills, combining work and study and may be a more cost-effective alternative to university study. This course is equivalent to the second year of a full-time university-level programme and is a part-time day release course each week.
You will gain knowledge and experience by analysing and working principles applicable to current technologies. You will develop knowledge and undertake a range of hands-on projects, mixed with academic theory. During the course, we will support the development of key skills, including maths, problem-solving, decision-making, IT and communication.
Mandatory Units:

All applicants must attempt the entry test (mathtutor.ac.uk & mathcentre.ac.uk will support this), you are expected to be at a certain level of maths before starting the course as you will be studying it at degree level.
The successful completion of this course provides you with the progression to further higher education programmes such as an HND or a degree.
