Course Introduction

Year one: Level 3 Information Technology Foundation Diploma

Year two: Level 3 Information Technology Extended Diploma

This is a two-year BTEC qualification. The first year is the Foundation Diploma, a stand-alone qualification. Upon successful completion, you can progress to the second year, which is the Extended Diploma.

The course aims to develop your knowledge and practical skills ready for a specialist career in IT or progression to university, with the opportunity to take industry standard qualifications.

Entry Requirement

Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths.
Successful completion of a relevant level 2 qualification.

Assessment

This qualification is assessed via two externally set examinations and eight internally set assignments.
