The Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship is aimed at individuals specialising in digital marketing. The apprenticeship focuses on the knowledge and skills required to define, design, build and implement digital marketing campaigns using a variety of social media and online platforms.
An employee in this occupation will be responsible for coordinating and delivering specific marketing activities such as marketing content creation, background market and customer research, monitoring campaign analytics and collecting data, using relevant marketing software/systems, maintaining marketing administration activities such as managing the supply of marketing literature, tracking marketing expenditure, supporting the procurement of, and overseeing the delivery of work by external and internal marketing suppliers.
- Contributing to the market plan, delivery or evaluation of the strategic marketing activity
- Use appropriate primary and/or secondary research methods
- Use research data to inform marketing decisions
- Source, create and edit content in collaboration with colleagues
- Support and manage the cataloguing of offline and digital marketing materials
- Publish, monitor and respond to editorial, creative or video content
- Support administration of marketing activities
- Use the organisation's customer relationship management system to maintain accurate data
- Identify and use relevant/emerging trends, solutions and technology
- Contribute to the monitoring of marketing expenditures and specified budgets
- Monitor, optimise, analyse and evaluate marketing campaigns
Learners must be employed within the sector to enrol on the apprenticeship and have 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including maths and English or equivalent.
During the duration of the programme, the learner will have a dedicated assessor who will support their learning, development of competency and generation of evidence. This will also be supported between visits by information, advice, guidance and technical competence support
The assessor will work with the learner and
the employer to ensure that all learning needs are being met for both
parties, to ensure successful progression
against all elements of the apprenticeship during the period of the programme.
To pass the apprenticeship, the learner needs to successfully pass the End Point Assessment. This assessment is made up of two stages:
· A project report with presentation and questioning
- An interview underpinned by the portfolio of evidence
The assessor from the end point assessment body will then decide whether to award successful apprentices with a pass, a merit or a distinction.
Completion of the apprenticeship will allow learners to wholly or partially satisfy the requirements for an Affiliate (Professional) member of the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and/or Digital Marketing Institute or Data and Marketing Association.
