Sales Executives operate in organisations of all sizes across all sectors and markets, including Technology, Media, Pharmaceutical, Recruitment, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Utilities and the Automotive Sector. Typical job roles and job titles include Sales Consultant, Sales Specialist, Sales Advisor, Sales Representative, Business Development Executive, and Field Sales Executive.
The standard follows a set of knowledge and skills criteria, including:
- Organisation, product, service and sector knowledge
- Market and customer knowledge
- Customer and financial acumen
- Sales planning and preparation
- Customer engagement and management
- Customer needs analysis
- Gathering intelligence
- Time management
- Presenting solutions, team working and collaboration
- Negotiation skills
- Digital skills
Working in a suitable setting, with a relevant Level 3 qualification. English and maths at Level 2 preferred.
This course is assessed through ongoing assignments throughout the programme, leading to the externally assessed End-point Assessment.
The candidate will have regular meetings with a dedicated Business Trainer.
