Course Introduction

This Skills Bootcamp dives deep into the fascinating world of early childhood development. You'll gain a strong foundation in the most important aspects, equipping you to nurture young minds.

This course will open doors to exciting career paths in the childcare industry. We have strong relationships with childcare providers in the local area and will provide you with a guaranteed interview - you will also receive CV and interviewing advice. This Skills Bootcamp can fast-track you into an apprenticeship through the Accelerated Apprenticeship model, enabling you to become qualified in a shorter amount of time.

On completion of this course, you will also obtain a DBS Check, Food Hygiene Certificate and Paediatric First Aid Certificate, all of which will be a useful addition to your CV and enhance your application for positions in this rewarding sector!

Course Content

We also run this Skills Bootcamp in the daytime - the daytime course is delivered three times a week for five weeks, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30pm to 2.30pm.

Entry Requirement

The Skills Bootcamp is designed for adults aged 19+.
You need to either be in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break.
Be a UK resident for at least 3 consecutive years and have the right to work in the UK.

How much does a Skills Bootcamp Cost?

There may be no cost involved if you are unemployed or employed and looking to career change.

Are you an employer looking to upskill your staff?

Are you looking to invest in your employees' professional development? Do you have some new staff that would benefit from participation in our Skills Bootcamp as part of their onboarding process? Our Skills Bootcamps offer a flexible and cost-effective way to upskill your workforce. Large employers looking to upskill their staff will contribute 30% of the cost for their staff members and small or medium-sized employers will contribute 10%.

The course is in line with Level 3 standards and so the following will be required:

GCSE English and maths (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above

A short discussion will also be required with our Skills Bootcamp Coordinator to ensure that this course is suitable for your needs.

Assessment

You will be required to achieve a pass result for both the Food Safety and Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid Test to receive the certificates. You will also complete a portfolio of work as you progress through the course.

Where does this course lead to

Learners can progress straight into employment or gain a head start on an apprenticeship. The Accelerated Apprenticeships model is designed to fast-track learners from this Skills Bootcamp onto a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship.

With further training, progression opportunities can include a Room Leader or a Senior Nursery Worker.
