This is a 10 week programme for people who want to work in education or training. It’s an introduction to the sector with 3 units covering aspects of teaching from the role of the practitioner, to the development of lesson plans, resources and the purpose of assessment.
This course will provide you with the skills, confidence and knowledge to embark on a teaching career in the post compulsory sector or as a trainer. On completion of this course you can progress on to the L4 certificate in Education and Training and the L5 Diploma in Education and Training.
This 24 week course is for practitioners who are new to teaching or training in the post-compulsory sector or training environments. The course covers planning, delivery, resource development, assessment methods and inclusive practice. A minimum requirement of 30 hours teaching is required to join the course and English and Maths at C grade/L2 or above. 3 observations are completed in your place of work* over the duration of the course.
You will learn from outstanding practitioners who will develop your practical skills as well as offer a broad knowledge into supporting learner needs and using technology in teaching and training to enthuse your learners!
This 1 year course is designed for teachers and trainers in the post-compulsory sector. You will need a full time role that carries the full range of teaching and training responsibilities. By the end of the course you will be able to demonstrate an extensive range teaching skills and strategies. There are 8 observations which will give you specific development points to improve your practice. You will gain an understanding of curriculum innovation, education theories and undertake an action research project that will be supported by your tutor.
